“My photographs explore the places that exist along the fraying edges of the contemporary environment. These liminal spaces are a frontier between public and private land, left outside the framework of human order. The images depict odd momentary scenes within landscapes typically considered banal. Temporary relationships occur as forces of nature – tidal change, flooding, brush fires – come into contact with the physical presence of the urban environment. The photographs focus attention on the importance of such simple yet often unnoticed dramas.”
