This is Nihilsentimentalgia’s one thousand post. I started it 5 years ago, in June 2008, as I was finishing my undergrad in Photography. It was intended to be archive of all references and links, so it could be accessed anywhere. The blog has evolved, hopefully for the better and it mirrors the changes in what I’ve found interesting in photography over the years. At first it never had that much viewers/followers. I never tried that to change by promoting it. I believe things make their way, naturally, and it has done so.

One a personal note, there’s a very particular thing about this blog: it has been the only constant thing in my life since then. For the past 5 years I’ve lived in 7 different houses, two different countries and finally moved to the countryside. For two years, every month I traveled between countries facing the fear of flying. Gaspar, my dog has died and a new one came along. A cat entered the family. I became an aunt. I’ve lost a lover and a friend. I’ve become a teacher and a student. I’ve gained a new illness and learned to live with it. The only constant thing being this blog and my cameras… and the rest I guess is for me to consider.

Anyway, hope I have the willing to continue for 5 years more, if not for anything else, just for the sake of having some stability in my life :)
