A loved one, who knows how I feel about America, decided to gift me with this pearl: Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt, by Chris Hedges and Joe Sacco. Having learned a lot from Sacco, I’ve become a fan, but this is my first encounter with Hedges and I have to say it’s gut-wrenching. I guess my partner felt it would be time to kill any sympathy I still had left for America. Well, it’s working… Though it’s still not time to comment on the book, here’s a glimpse of one of the best chapters so far.
